Family First, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Specialist – Accounts Payable to join our finance team in Tampa, FL. This role manages the full AP cycle, codes expenses to GL accounts, reviews invoices, resolves discrepancies, and communicates with vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments.

Strong QuickBooks and nonprofit accounting knowledge are essential. The right candidate will support month-end close, assist with reconciliations, and help maintain audit-ready documentation while upholding

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or general accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks; experience with QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Understanding of general ledger accounting and the relationship between AP and financial statements.
• Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including receiving, reviewing, coding, entering, and processing invoices and other payments.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, approvals, and policy compliance.
• Investigate discrepancies between invoices, POs, contracts, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and process ACH, checks, and other payments.
• Maintain organized AP documentation and vendor records.
