Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years banking experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and meet established guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively with others as a team player to meet a common goal.
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities accurately and efficiently, with focus on details.
• Good analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to perform basic accounting & balancing.
• Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with exceptional telephone & email etiquette.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Follow established policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect both customers and Chesapeake Bank.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and other communication to assist and help resolve problems with excellent customer service.
• Perform Start of Day and End of Day within core banking applications, including monitoring and transferring files.
• Balance, reconcile, and problem solve general ledgers and accounts.
• Process Federal Verification Requests from SSA/SSI and local agencies.
• Prepare and send tax files to applicable vendors and ensure accuracy of customer information.
• Understand the role in risk management, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
