Job summary

Futaba Indiana of America is seeking a QC Destruct Lab Team Leader to oversee day-to-day quality control operations in the Destruct Lab, ensuring weld integrity and conformance to customer specs and IATF 16949 requirements. The role includes guiding lab technicians, coordinating workflows, and aligning with the QC Supervisor.

You will lead testing activities, maintain equipment, enforce safety, and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen) in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949).
• Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS).
• Ability to lead and train lab technicians and coordinate workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC Destruct Lab Technicians in daily lab operations, testing procedures, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate daily work schedules, assign testing tasks, and prioritize lab workflows based on production schedules and quality needs.
• Elevate nonconformities to the QC Supervisor and leadership, drive root cause analysis.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cycle times and testing accuracy.
• Oversee weld destruct testing, caliper measurements, and ensure accurate lab reporting.
