Job summary

ENS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA. You will engineer desktop builds for Windows, Mac, and Linux; manage STIG compliance and lifecycle processes; and maintain WIM/SHB configurations.

The role emphasizes building endpoint strategy, deploying updates, and developing documentation while collaborating with a federal contracting team. A TS/SCI clearance is required or willingness to obtain CI Poly.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of end user computing environments including Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OSX, and supporting infrastructure components such as Active Directory, group policy creation and maintenance, and SCCM.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise solutions for Windows 10 and 11.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi and VSphere.
• Familiarity with virtualization network on multiple classifications.
• Familiarity with Citrix or VMware VDI architecture.
• Must possess an Active TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.

Responsibilities

• Build the endpoint strategy with DIA CIO road maps for Windows, Mac, and Linux endpoints.
• Maintain DISA-approved WIM and Secure Host Baseline (SHB) and transfer to enclaves.
• Deploy Windows and Office security updates.
• Develop, test, and document formal configuration guides as needed.
• Develop, test, deploy GPOs in Active Directory implementing STIG and controls.
• Develop, test, deploy desktop images including apps and GPO updates.
• Deploy and update packaged applications using PSADT.
• Create technical support documentation for IT equipment and systems.

Job description

Our work depends on a Systems Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA.

As a Systems Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team charged with engineering solutions for desktop (physical & virtual) builds for Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems, STIF compliance, life cycle, etc.

In this role, a typical day may include:

• Building the strategy for the endpoint environment, including emerging technology, new technical solutions, software, and hardware based on DIA CIO road maps
• Maintaining DISA-approved WIM and Secure Host Baseline (SHB) including testing and transferring to appropriate enclaves
• Downloading, packaging, and deploying Windows and Office Security Updates
• Developing, implementing, and documenting formal configuration guides as needed
• Developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for end user devices, which implement STIG and other device and account controls
• Developing, testing, and deploying desktop images including applications and GPO updates
• Deploying and updating approved packaged applications using PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT)
• Developing technical support documentation for IT equipment and systems as required

• High School and 10+ years / Associate's and 8+ year /Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years/ Master's Degree and 4+ years of relevant years of experience required.
