Job summary

ENS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA. The role focuses on configuring and maintaining end-user computing environments across Windows, macOS, and Linux, with emphasis on STIG compliance and lifecycle management.

Your day includes building endpoint strategy per DIA road maps, maintaining baseline security configurations, deploying updates, and developing guides for AD/GPOs and desktop images.

Qualifications

• End user computing environments including Windows 10/11, Mac OSX, and related infrastructure components.
• Directory, group policy creation and maintenance, and SCCM.
• Experience deploying and managing Windows 10/11 enterprise solutions.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi/VSphere and virtualization networks.
• Familiarity with Citrix or VMware VDI architecture.
• Must possess an Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain CI Poly.

Responsibilities

• Build the strategy for the endpoint environment per DIA CIO road maps.
• Maintain WIM and Secure Host Baseline (SHB) with testing and enclave transfers.
• Download, package, and deploy Windows and Office security updates.
• Develop, implement, and document formal configuration guides as needed.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain GPOs in Microsoft Active Directory for end user devices.
• Develop, test, and deploy desktop images including applications and GPO updates.
• Deploy and update approved packaged applications using PSADT.
• Create technical support documentation for IT equipment and systems.

Job description

Our work depends on a Systems Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA.

As a Systems Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team charged with engineering solutions for desktop (physical & virtual) builds for Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems, STIF compliance, life cycle, etc.

In this role, a typical day may include:

• Building the strategy for the endpoint environment, including emerging technology, new technical solutions, software, and hardware based on DIA CIO road maps
• Maintaining DISA-approved WIM and Secure Host Baseline (SHB) including testing and transferring to appropriate enclaves
• Downloading, packaging, and deploying Windows and Office Security Updates
• Developing, implementing, and documenting formal configuration guides as needed
• Developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for end user devices, which implement STIG and other device and account controls
• Developing, testing, and deploying desktop images including applications and GPO updates
• Deploying and updating approved packaged applications using PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT)
• Developing technical support documentation for IT equipment and systems as required

Requirements

• Detailed knowledge of end user computing environments including Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OSX, and their supporting infrastructure components such as Active
• Directory, group policy creation and maintenance, and SCCM
• Experience with deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise solutions for Windows 10 and 11
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash Scripting
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi and VSphere
• Familiarity with virtualization network on multiple classifications
• Familiarity with Citrix or VMware VDI architecture
• Must possess an Active TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a CI Poly
