Desktop Support Technician
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay Rate:
$23.50/hour
Work Location: Dayton Metro Area

  • Must be flexible to work at any of the four designated locations within the Dayton area.
  • All sites are within 30 minutes of one another.

Primary Locations:

  • Beavercreek, OH
  • Vandalia, OH
  • University of Dayton, OH
  • Dayton, OH
Position Summary:
The technician will serve as a floating resource to maintain operational stability across multiple customer sites. Please carefully review the background and compliance requirements before submission. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Act as a floating technician within the local metro area to support time off, leaves of absence, backfills, special projects, and any other operational needs.
  • Provide coverage outside the metro area, including multi-day overnight travel out of state as needed (infrequent but required).
  • Repair, test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and related hardware.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software and hardware issues, including OS errors, network printing issues, and more.
  • Support asset management tasks including IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change).
  • Assist with large-scale printer migrations and PC refresh projects.
  • Ensure all service tickets receive proper follow-up and documentation.
  • Provide in-person technical support to end users at various customer sites.
  • Backup and restore user data as needed.
  • Document and help improve internal processes.
  • Mentor new employees and support coworkers in resolving user issues.
  • Support the Site Leader in process execution and escalations.
  • Manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Work confidently in an enterprise IT environment.
Required Skills:
  • Delivers excellent customer experiences and thrives in high-interaction environments.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of diagnosing/replacing internal PC/laptop hardware (motherboard, RAM, CPU, drives) and resolving common software issues (e.g., Windows blue screen, Outlook, network printing).
  • Must be comfortable with occasional overnight, out-of-state travel based on coverage needs.
  • Must work independently, be highly reliable, and consistently available during scheduled hours.
