Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our client on site in Parsippany, NJ, providing end-user support.

You will maintain and repair computer systems, assist with network issues, manage user accounts, and support mobile devices for a fast-paced environment. On-site role with W2 employment; compensation includes standard benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 6+ years of experience supporting PC Hardware and software.
• Comfortability providing hands and feet support for network connection issues
• Hardware and software support experience
• Deskside support experience
• Customer Facing experience
• Mobile Device support experience
• Able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment with strong personalities, and detail oriented
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups
• Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed
• Resolves network connection issues, track network connections back to network switches
• Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve
• Represents the company in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates
• Interacts with customers, responding to routine technical questions or requests for information

Wage Range:

The rate for this position is between $20.25 - $27.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
