Summary

Responsible for the installation, configuration, management, and support of desktops, portable computers, and peripherals over a multi-platform network. Ensures end-user productivity by providing technical solutions. Participates in evaluating products for compatibility, flexibility, and ease of use, including application design with mainframe applications.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in ensuring network security by enforcing passwords, installing virus protection, encryption technology, and managing user profiles, files, and folder security.
  • Manage desktop peripheral inventory and assist with asset management, maintaining accurate records for device changes.
  • Participate in evaluating products for compatibility and usability, including designing application options with mainframe applications.
  • Perform hardware and software installation and configuration.
  • Provide technical support and incident resolution for hardware and software issues. Offer initial training to users and perform desktop moves as needed.
Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience: No experience required if degree is an Associate's; two years relevant experience if a High School diploma or GED.

Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, multitasking, and responsiveness to internal customers.
