Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Tier 1 desktop support specialist to provide daily assistance for staff, faculty and students. You will handle OS, software installation, hardware issues and ticket responses in a high-volume service desk environment.

This on-site role in Saint Louis, MO requires strong communication, prioritization and documentation. Travel to on- and off-campus locations may be required; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience providing desktop support in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily desktop support for the computing desktop, including OS, software installation, maintenance and hardware.
• Respond to assigned tickets and escalate when needed; act as front-facing liaison for desktop issues.
• Collaborate with higher-level technical areas on planning and issue resolution; assist with system upgrades and integrations.
