Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support for firm-issued hardware and office technology across our Raleigh locations. You will manage laptop imaging, deployment, and device lifecycles while ensuring endpoint standards and service excellence.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of desktop support experience, strong Windows knowledge, and hands-on skills with Intune, Autopilot, and AD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience providing desktop support, endpoint management, hardware deployment, or related IT support services.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, endpoint hardware, mobile devices, and workplace technology.
• Proficiency with deployment/management tools such as Intune, Autopilot, ConfigMgr.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, AD, Entra ID, authentication technologies.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP).

Cherry Bekaert’s Technology team is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support for firm‑issued hardware, endpoint devices, office technology, and workplace collaboration systems.

This role manages laptop imaging and deployment, hardware troubleshooting, device lifecycles, asset tracking, and technology support for office locations. You will serve as a primary onsite resource for hands‑on support and collaborate with the Service Desk, Infrastructure, Security, and third‑party vendors to maintain endpoint standards and service excellence.

As a Desktop Support Specialist, You Will:

• Deploy, configure, refresh, and manage laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and support endpoint hardware, Windows devices, connectivity, and workplace technology.
• Maintain asset inventory and coordinate procurement, warranties, returns, and device recovery activities.
• Provide onsite support for conference rooms, audiovisual systems, meetings, training sessions, and office events.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve hardware, software, network, and infrastructure issues.
• Support office moves, openings, acquisitions, and technology integration projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with security, asset management, and IT standards.
• Contribute to endpoint standardization, process improvements, and continuous service enhancement.
• Support occasional after‑hours and emergency technology needs.

What You Bring to the Role

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of progressive experience providing desktop support, endpoint management, hardware deployment, or related IT support services.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, endpoint hardware, mobile devices, and workplace technology.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, peripherals, workstations, and endpoint‑related issues.
• Proficiency with endpoint deployment and management tools such as Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Configuration Manager, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and authentication technologies.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including Wi‑Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IT asset management, inventory control, and device lifecycle management.
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, documentation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and vendors.

The salary range for this position is included below.
