Axiom Technologies is seeking a reliable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-demand, on-site IT support for enterprise clients in West Point, Pennsylvania. This contract-based, part-time role requires timely responses to service requests and hands-on troubleshooting of desktop systems, laptops, network connectivity, and peripherals at client sites.

The position involves coordinating, Dispatch style assignments, and working with the Service Delivery Team to ensure superior service delivery

We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-demand, on-site IT support for enterprise clients. This role involves responding to service requests when required and providing hands-on technical assistance for desktop systems, laptops, network connectivity, and peripheral devices at the client location.
This is a contract-based, on-demand position, meaning work assignments will be provided as and when support is required. Availability and responsiveness are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement
• Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers)
• Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in onsite support environments

Work Model
