Job summary

Walsworth is seeking a Desktop Prepress Technician to expedite and color-correct artwork, scan and assemble ads and art packages, and manage PDF pages from customers for editing. The role requires thoughtful editing of portraits and candid images, and data entry into AS400 systems.

You will work with Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign, plus YB360, Whiteboard, Prodnet and Outlook, delivering quality customer service and collaborating with a team to meet deadlines and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in Production Operations preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesign.

Job Summary:As a Desktop Prepress – Technician, you will perform diversified duties under general supervision to expedite, color correct, scan, create ads and art packages, and receive pdf pages from customers for editing.Essential Functions:Edit and manipulate artwork for art packages.Edit and create student ads.Edit and correct pages as instructed.Edit and correct portrait and candid images by performing color correcting to individual images.Evaluate and provided detailed information from customer supplied files for covers and Endsheet file checks.Shopfloor entry for time associated task.Data entry into the AS400 based on job specifications.All other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign.Knowledge and use of YB360, Whiteboard, AS400, Prodnet, Outlook.General customer service and phone etiquette skills.Ability to deal with problems in or from standardized situations.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.Working Conditions/Physical Demands:Required to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.Requires specific vision abilities that include close vision.Required to perform concentrated work for extended periods of time.May be required to lift, carry or exert items or objects of reasonable weight.May be required to perform duties beyond standard business hours.Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.One year experience in Production Operations.
