Job summary

Citi Belfast is seeking an AVP, Desk Assistant – Structuring to join our Equity Structuring desk. You will provide pricing support, validate trade economics, and help book trades, bridging junior sales, traders, and London structurers.

The role offers hands-on exposure to exotic derivatives, requires Excel/VBA and Python, and demands strong attention to detail, with a hybrid model (up to 2 days remote per week).

Qualifications

• Experience in structuring support, exotic derivatives trade support, quantitative middle office, or related markets role in a global investment bank.
• Solid understanding of equity derivatives, basic option pricing theory (Black‑Scholes), and straightforward structured products.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA; hands-on Python and AI experience is highly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a disciplined, control-oriented mindset under time pressure.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with sales, operations, and the London structuring desk.

Responsibilities

• Pricing support to Sales: act as first contact for vanilla pricing and respond to routine requests using templates; escalate non-vanilla requests to London.
• Pricing quality control: cross-check prices and validate inputs (rates, vols, spots, notionals, tenors, day counts).
• Trade booking support: help book vanilla and straightforward structured trades; verify economics against term sheets.
• Documentation, tracking & reporting: maintain a log of pricing requests, trades, and issues; prepare summaries for London review.
• Flow analysis & inventory monitoring: create trade summaries and monitor exotic flow opportunities in notes inventory.
• Process automation: collaborate with Tech teams to automate workflows using Python and VBA.
