Job summary

Office Pavilion is seeking a Designer / Space Planner in Honolulu to develop functional furniture solutions for clients. The role combines creativity with technical design and requires ownership to manage complex projects.

Responsibilities include space planning, product recommendations, drawings in CET by Configura, site measurements, meetings, and coordination with installers. Experience in contract furniture is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract furniture or commercial space planning is a plus.
• Strong technical design capabilities with attention to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work evenings or weekends to meet commitments.

Responsibilities

• Develop space plans and furniture solutions based on client needs and project direction.
• Recommend products and design solutions using technical knowledge and good design judgment.
• Create drawings and specifications using CET by Configura and other software.
• Space plan around real-world building conditions and accessibility requirements.
• Specify furniture, components, finishes and related products accurately.
• Visit jobsites to field measure and document existing conditions.
• Participate in client and internal project meetings.
• Review own work for accuracy and resolve issues proactively.
• Support installation and coordinate with field installers as needed.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
