Job summary

Talon Hiring Solutions is seeking a Designer Sales Consultant for a client in the greater Birmingham, AL area. This field-based role involves meeting with homeowners in their homes to assess style and needs and recommending window treatment solutions that bring visions to life.

You'll manage the full sales process from initial consultation to close, follow up with prospects, and build relationships with interior designers, builders, and Realtors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales experience preferred.
• Window fashion or interior design experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple appointments and sales activities independently.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners in their homes to understand design preferences and needs.
• Consult on window treatment options, including color, texture, style, and functionality.
• Take accurate window measurements and prepare product recommendations.
• Build strong relationships with clients and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Manage the full sales process from consultation through close.
• Follow up with prospects and past clients to generate additional business and referrals.
• Develop new business through networking, community involvement, referrals, and relationship building.
• Attend weekly networking events and actively build relationships with interior designers, builders, contractors, realtors, and local businesses.
• Maintain accurate client information and sales activity using technology and Google Workspace.
• Continually develop product, design, and sales knowledge through ongoing training.
