Job summary

Keystone Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Piping Designer to join our Lafayette team.

The position focuses on developing detailed design drawings and ensuring project deliverables meet standards, with occasional site visits. Responsibilities include constructability and maintainability assessments, preparation of design configurations for various systems, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide cost-effective technical input.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of working experience minimum.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D or CadWorx.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Constructability, operability, and maintainability of the project design.

• Review drawings for completeness and quality, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Ensure all drawings are properly checked and approved.
• Prepare final drawing plots and transmittals for project deliverables.

Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Piping Designer to join our Lafayette team.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Lafayette, LA

Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required.

Essential Functions:

• Constructability, operability, and maintainability of the project design.
• Development of design configurations associated with the various systems that apply.
• Providing comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective technical input into design.
• Preparation of detailed design drawings, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.
• Maintaining a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during project design.
• Review of drawings for completeness, overall quality, and adherence to standards.
• Ensures all drawings have been properly checked.
• Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 - 10 years of working experience Minimum
• Experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D or CadWorx
• Strong Written and verbal communication skills
