Job summary

Keystone Engineering Inc. seeks an experienced Piping Designer to join our Lafayette team. Located in Lafayette, LA, this full-time position focuses on developing piping design configurations and detailed drawings for project deliverables.

Essential functions include ensuring constructability and maintainability, plus preparing final drawings and data books. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of relevant experience and proficiency with AutoCAD, Plant 3D or CadWorx.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of working experience minimum.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D or CadWorx.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Constructability, operability, and maintainability of the project design.
• Development of design configurations associated with the various systems that apply.
• Providing comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective technical input into design.
• Preparation of detailed design drawings, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.
• Maintaining a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during project design.
• Review of drawings for completeness, overall quality, and adherence to standards.
• Ensures all drawings have been properly checked.
• Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables.
