GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Patient Education Designer is a member of the Patient Education Solutions Team and is responsible for designing patient-facing education content for websites, applications, and clinical programs. The role involves motion and graphic design projects, developing illustration assets, and animations to support patient education, with a focus on improving clinical outcomes through stakeholder feedback, industry trends, collaboration, and continuous skill enhancement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design illustrated and animated educational content on complex health topics for patients.
• Produce printed materials as needed.
• Explore innovative methods to create high-quality educational content.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

• 2-4 years of experience.
• High School Diploma.
• Vocational/Technical School Certificate or Degree.
• Portfolio demonstrating prior experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
• Experience working with creative teams.
• Experience with media production such as video editing, online content creation, and podcasting.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Expertise in illustration, motion, and graphic design, with knowledge of adult education and storytelling methodologies.
• Proficiency in design standards, trends, and best practices.
• Skilled in macOS, Adobe Creative Suite, storyboarding, and collaboration tools, with willingness to learn new software.
• Ability to apply brand and style guidelines to patient-facing deliverables.
• Experience leading design workshops.
