GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Patient Education Designer is a member of the Patient Education Solutions Team and is responsible for contributing to the design of patient-facing education content for a range of our websites, applications, and clinical programs. This role will contribute to motion and graphic design projects according to design direction from Sr. Designers, Lead Designers, and the Director of Patient Education Solutions. All content will support engaging experiences for our patients (and other audiences as needed). This role will help develop illustration assets and animation that support patient education content. The team has a focus on improvement for clinical outcomes by using feedback from key stakeholders, understanding industry trends, collaboration with work teams, and constant continuous improvements in motion and graphic design skills.

Design illustrated and animated education content to support complex health topics for patients

Produce printed material as needed

Support the exploration of innovative ways to execute high quality education content

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 2-4 years of experience
  • High School Diplomna
  • Vocational/Technical School Certificate of Degree
  • Portfolio demonstrating prior experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically
  • Experience working with creative teams
  • Experience with other media production such as video production/editing, online content creation, and podcasting/new media production

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Expert skill level in illustration and motion and graphic design along with adult education and storytelling approaches and methodologies
  • Expert in design industry standards, best practices, and trends
  • Proficient skill level in macOS, Adobe Creative Suite, storyboarding and collaboration and willing to learn new software as necessary
  • Proficient in understanding and applying specific brand and style guidelines to patient-facing creative deliverables
  • Experience leading design workshops

Salary/ Wage Range

$56,500.00-$75,000.00 / year
