Job summary

Gensler in Dallas is seeking a Designer to combine creativity with technical knowledge to produce functional, beautiful spaces for clients. You will collaborate with colleagues to elevate design quality and contribute a point of view across projects.

Responsibilities include programming client needs, schematic and construction documentation, FF&E selection, finish plans, and coordinating with consultants and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from an accredited program.
  • 5+ years of interior design experience with related project experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software.
  • Understanding of FF&E design and deliverables.

  • Participate in selection and presentation of FF&E, finishes, colors, and lighting
  • Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections for construction

  • Collaborate with external consultants, product reps, furniture dealers, and fabricators

Your Role

As a Gensler Designer, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You will collaborate with talented colleagues to enhance Gensler's culture for design excellence, elevate the quality of design, and achieve recognition for our clients and the firm. You are an integral member of the design team who relishes contributing a point of view and craves participation in conceptual thought-processes and design exploration.

What You Will Do
  • Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation
  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
  • Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
  • Provide design support and documentation during the completion and execution of design concepts
  • Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from an accredited program
  • 5+ years of interior design experience, including demonstrated success or interest in professional services, energy, or financial services projects
  • Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
  • Detailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables (furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications)
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
  • Passionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient
  • LEED Accreditation a plus

Our annual base salary range has been established based on local markets.
