Job summary

Tindall Corporation in the Southeast U.S. seeks an entry-level Design Drafting Associate to support the design and fabrication of precast structures.

Prepare shop tickets and erection drawings, scrub red-lines, and create shop cards using AutoCAD under supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to detailing standards.

Education: Associate Degree in Design Drafting preferred; less than a year of related experience, or an equivalent combination.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree (2 year) in Design Drafting or related field preferred.
• Less than a year of related experience required; equivalent combination considered.
• Ability to read and plot erection details and drawings.

Prepare erection drawings for basic structures under the supervision of the Engineer Lead.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Read and plot erection details and drawings.Confer with Project Lead about shop card detailing priorities and review erection drawings and details.Create shop cards by utilizing a computer-aided drafting or modeling programs, such as AutoCAD, and ensure drawings conform to standard detailing practices.Present scrubbed shop cards to Project Lead for their verification of correctness.Scrub red-lines from Project Lead check printsDetail Steel Cards from sketches or markups provided by Project Designers or Design Engineers.Job Specifications or Qualifications:Education: Associates Degree (2 year) in Design Drafting, or a related field of study, is preferred.Experience: Less than a year prior or related experience required.
