Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc is seeking a Designer II to develop moderately complex new part designs and improve legacy products. The role works with R&D and Manufacturing teams, requires attention to detail and the ability to work with limited guidance.

Required: Associate's degree in Engineering Technology with 3–6 years in an R&D environment; strong CAD skills (SolidWorks), ASME Y14.5/GD&T, and PLM familiarity. Travel infrequent; commitment to 5S and ISO procedures is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology; 3–6 years in an R&D environment.
• Proficient in CAD with SolidWorks and GD&T.
• Experience with ASME Y14.5 and drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create robust CAD models of complex parts and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Generate functionally dimensioned, ASME Y14.5 compliant drawings with GD&T.
• Process changes through the PLM system for releases and revisions.
• Assist with testing and data compilation as needed.
• Prototype part manufacture support and inventory management.
• Travel infrequently and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
