Safdie Architects is seeking a Designer I with 0-5 years of experience with exceptional design, communication, and interpersonal skills to join our design practice. This is a full-time, in-studio position.

Key responsibilities include:

The Designer I will be involved on projects from concept through completion, and must be able to productively contribute to project assignments under the direction of the project’s management team. In addition to an aptitude for design and problem solving, candidates must be highly motivated and have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Aside from involvement on the architectural projects – Designer I may have the opportunity to work on research driven efforts and assist with publications and exhibitions. The office also supports the pursuit of licensure.

Prerequisites:

• Experience in AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite and rendering software (Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray) preferred
• Experience in the use of advanced digital design software and techniques, rapid-prototyping, etc. preferred
• Experience with Revit and BIM preferred
• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
• All applicants must have the authorization to work within the United States

Salary range:

$65,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
