Job summary

Splice is seeking a Designer I to join the Space Planning Studio. Remote location, with hybrid option for Seattle-area work thrice weekly in-office. The role focuses on delivering space planning and built-out CAD deliverables for US and Canada locations, under the Design Studio Manager's guidance.

You will coordinate with clients and vendor partners, ensure compliance with guidelines, codes and ADA requirements, and manage multiple projects with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • B.A. Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architectural Studies, or relevant degree.
  • 2+ years' experience in Interior Design, Architecture, and/or Systems Furniture Design field or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, drawing standards, Fire/Building Code and ADA requirements.
  • Experience developing client drawing deliverables and/or other technical project documents.
  • Effective written, verbal, and visual communication.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Deadline-driven work ethic while still a team player.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and updates to AsBuilt GREFS, Directories and CAD files.
  • Work with clients to provide space planning and design solutions that meet guideline, code and ADA requirements.
  • Implement Design Guidelines, system furniture requirements, and Building/Fire codes per local jurisdiction on all work that leaves the studio.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, each with different scopes and requirements.
  • Perform assigned work while providing transparent and timely communication of personal progress with studio leadership.
  • Administrative tasks to support communication, documentation, archiving per procedure and best practices.
  • Work as part of a team to problem solve through roadblocks, pivot to support other work groups as needed and help to ensure drawings meet studio standards.

Compensation range: $75,300 - $81,500 annually

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Position Summary

Location: Remote; if in the Seattle area, role will be Hybrid, in-office 3 days a week

Hours: Monday - Friday, Day shift

The Designer I is an individual contributor within the Space Planning Studio team. The Studio provides design and As-Built management services for all US and Canada corporate locations for our client’s portfolio. Reporting to the Design Studio Manager, this position is responsible for the deliverables per program guidelines and

standards.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for maintenance and updates to AsBuilt GREFS, Directories and CAD files

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
