Howmet Fastening Systems in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Designer I to design forming tools, jigs, dies, and fixtures for fastener production. You will work with engineering, shop floor, and quality teams to resolve design issues and optimize tool life using GD&T and standard tool data.
This role involves creating sketches, layouts and detailed drawings, preparing drawings and specifications, and supporting tool-change and documentation processes.

Design a variety of forming, cutting tools, jigs, dies, and fixtures for fastener and fastening‑system production. Work closely with engineering, shop floor, and quality teams to resolve design issues, optimize tool life, and meet cost and performance targets. Apply GD&T, mathematical, and standard tool data to develop and refine tool configurations.
