Job summary

Facade Today in New York City seeks an experienced Designer to join our Design Team. The candidate should have 7 years of residential/NYC high-rise experience and strong capabilities in facade systems, mixed-use design, REVIT, and rendering.

The role requires leading design concepts from concept through construction documentation, with a focus on massing, programming, and client presentations. Portfolio submission is required.

Qualifications

• Architectural degree from an accredited program.
• 7 years of relevant architectural experience on residential projects.
• New York high rise residential experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop design concepts for complex mixed-use residential projects from concept through design development to construction documents.
• Demonstrate a highly creative process and critical thinking for aesthetics, building assembly, programming, massing, and graphic communication.
• Assist in generating design concepts and develop design ideas.
• Produce presentations to communicate with the client group and coordinate with the design team.

About the Company

NY based firm specializing in high-rise luxury residential buildings seeking an experienced Designer to join our Design Team.

About the Role

We are seeking a candidate with 4+ years of experience, NYC high end residential design, mixed use buildings and commercial projects. Candidate must have experience in mixed use projects and designing of facade systems.

Responsibilities

• Candidate is a self-starter being able to initiate and generate design concepts of complex mixed use residential projects and must be able to see design of projects from concept through design development to construction documents.
• Candidate must demonstrate that they possess a highly creative process and creative critical thinking through their portfolio, sensitive to not only aesthetics but also to the assembly of buildings, programming and planning, massing and the graphic communication / presentation of their ideas.
• The successful candidate will assist in generating design concepts of various projects and will be required to develop design ideas.
• Produce presentations to communicate with the client group and coordinate with the broader design team.

Qualifications

• Architectural degree from an accredited program.
• 7 years of relevant architectural experience on residential projects.
• New York high rise residential experience.

Required Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of REVIT and Adobe Suite is required.
• Advanced digital modeling & rendering skills.
• Fluency in 3D Studio Max and/or Rhino.
• Fluency in Dynamo and/or Grasshopper.
• Experience in mixed use projects and designing of facade systems.
