Job summary

Husco is seeking a detail-oriented Designer in Waukesha, WI to support development of innovative products and customer applications. You will create and refine component drawings, 3D solid models, and layouts working closely with the Engineering team to ensure performance, manufacturability, and quality.

This role requires CAD proficiency, an Associate's degree in mechanical design or related field, and at least three years of CAD experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in mechanical design or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience using CAD technology.
• Thorough understanding of engineering drawing practices and ANSI standards.
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing knowledge is required.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics experience preferred; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

Husco is seeking a detail-oriented Designer to support the development of innovative products and customer applications. Working closely with the Engineering team, you will create and refine component designs, drawings, and solid models while ensuring products meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements. This role is ideal for someone with strong CAD experience, a mechanical design background, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll be Doing:

• Create, maintain, and improve component drawings and 3D solid models
• Partner with engineers to develop new product concepts and design layouts
• Ensure designs meet functional, manufacturing, tolerance, and quality requirements
• Evaluate design alternatives to improve performance, reduce costs, and optimize manufacturability
• Support engineering change requests, drawing revisions, and product updates
• Set up new projects and maintain engineering documentation and databases
• Build expertise in new products, components, and design applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and customer applications

What You'll Need:

• Associate's Degree (or equivalent military or formal training) in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience using CAD technology
• Thorough understanding of engineering drawing practices, ANSI standards, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
