Job summary

TechDigital Group, located in the Town of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, is looking for a professional to design and manage electric distribution projects for customers. This role involves preparing 2D and 3D models, conducting field assessments, and preparing design documentation.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic electrical knowledge, and familiarity with GIS or AutoCAD. We are open to candidates from various backgrounds including construction and utilities.

Job description

Creates, updates, and revises sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using SmallWorld GIS software or manual drafting to meet customer requirements.

Prepares 2D and 3D models, reads and comprehends detailed customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications, and documents support for design drawings.

Prepares bills of material, schedules, and assists engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage electric distribution projects for new and existing customers.
• Interact with customers, manage project timelines, conduct field assessments, and design systems using Client SmallWorld (customized GIS).
• Perform transformer sizing, underground cable routing, and pole placement.
• Prepare, review, and submit design documentation and drawings.
