Job summary

Workplace Resource is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to collaborate with the sales team to define client design requirements and develop comprehensive interior design solutions. The role requires strong knowledge of Herman Miller and Knoll systems, plus ancillary products, to translate client visions into feasible plans.

You will lead design sessions, create space plans, finish palettes, and installation drawings, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior staff while handling multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong understanding of interior design theory and ability to create functional, innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and CET; good working knowledge of CAP.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the sales team to define client design requirements and project goals.
• Developing complete design solutions, including space plans, finish palettes, furniture specifications, and installation drawings.
• Ensuring all design deliverables meet code compliance and quality standards.
• Performing field measurements, product inventories, and research for ancillary products.
• Creating visual presentations and leading client design sessions to secure approvals.
• Managing multiple projects (workload of $5M-$8M in projects) and priorities, consistently meeting deadlines and financial goals.
• Coordinating with vendors for product information, pricing, and custom requirements.
• Reviewing and revising design documentation to reflect client and project changes.
• Mentoring team members and contributing to continuous improvement in design processes.
• Communicating design concepts effectively to clients, A+D partners, and internal teams, positioning yourself as a trusted consultant.
