Job summary

Continua Interiors is seeking a designer with 3+ years of experience to develop furniture plans, create specs, and coordinate with AV, data, and electrical teams. You will travel locally for on-site assessments and collaborate with clients, salespeople, and industry partners.

You will translate concepts into precise drawings, manage multiple projects, and mentor other designers while upholding company standards and continuous learning. Standard hours apply.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Ability to travel locally to job sites for on-site assessments and in-person customer meetings.
  • Strong knowledge of interior commercial construction, architecture, design, real estate, and contract furnishings.
  • In-depth product knowledge and application, including Herman Miller and Knoll products.
  • Experience presenting to clients, preferably alongside salespeople.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Skills in translating design concepts into accurate drawings and specifications.
  • Capability to assess architectural field conditions and building system interfaces with furniture.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CET, CAP, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and commercial furniture industry software; willingness to learn new systems.
  • Maintain relevant industry certifications.
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with vendors and industry partners.
  • Confidence and independence in progressing through the design process with minimal guidance.
  • Physical Requirements: sitting, reaching, occasional standing, travel between offices/sites; lifting up to 20 pounds.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Conduct a furniture needs analysis to define requirements for implementing designs.

  • Maintains client design standards programs, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.

  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds. This position may require travel between offices, jobsites, and/or client locations, which may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, lifting light luggage, and adapting to different time zones.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The hiring compensation range for this position is an annual base salary of $66,000 - $78,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.

HOURS:

This is a full-time position. Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday unless otherwise noted.
