Job summary

CP Brands Group is seeking a Designer to join our team in New York. The role requires 2+ years of design experience and expertise in Adobe Illustrator to design children’s apparel, accessories, and related brands for department stores and other retailers.

You will collaborate with Sales, Design, and Sourcing to develop collections, sketch bodies, and produce cohesive prints across lines, while managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related design experience with portfolio.

• Bachelor's degree in fashion design, merchandising, art, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Design Director to create children’s collections for multiple brands.
• Sketch new bodies with Spec Designer and apply prints to black and whites.
• Pair prints for matching sets or collections.
• Revise artwork, scale prints, recolor, and recreate repeats as needed.
• Create, maintain and revise tech packs for designs.
• Juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Description:

CP Brands Group is looking to hire a Designer to start ASAP. Looking for someone with 2+ years of design experience who would be responsible for designing multiple childrenswear fashion brands to department stores, big box retailers, and the off-price channel. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative environment between Sales, Design, and Sourcing teams.

Candidate must be an expert in Adobe Illustrator, detail-oriented, creative, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Design Director to create children's collections that align with each brand's DNA (categories include: accessories, apparel, pajamas, socks)
• Work with Spec Designer to sketch new bodies, then plug prints into black + whites
• Pair prints together for matching sets or collections
• Revise artwork when needed (must be able to scale prints, recreate a repeat, recolor)
• Create, maintain and revise tech packs relative to designs
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
