Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an experienced design professional to collaborate with clients, develop innovative remodeling concepts, and prepare clear documentation for production. You will work with estimators, architects, and project managers to ensure project success while providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture, 5+ years in residential design, and strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to handle multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in Residential Design preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years working one-on-one with clients to determine design needs, budget, materials, and executing sales contracts.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and CAD programs (Chief Architect a plus).
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Reports To: Design Manager

Job Purpose: Collaborate with the client through the planning process, develop unique, innovative remodeling solutions, and prepare clear, accurate documentation for Production.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Meet with clients to assess their needs, preferences, and investment levels
• Develop creative design concepts and detailed work scopes that align with client goals
• Document existing site conditions accurately
• Collaborate with Estimators, Architects, Mosby Sales Consultants, and Project Managers to ensure project success
• Present and assist Sales Consultants in selling Design and Construction Agreements
• Provide superior customer service and build long-term client relationships
• Participate in seminars, webinars, and other company events as requested

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in Interior Design or Architecture
• 5+ years of experience in Residential Design preferred
• Minimum of 3 years working one-on-one with clients to determine their design needs, budget, material selections, and executing sales contracts
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and CAD Programs (Chief Architect program is a plus)
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills

• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects at a time
• Perform duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner
• Prior working relationships with vendors and subcontractors is a plus
• Have & maintain clean, reliable transportation to use for client appointments around the St. Louis & Southern Illinois area
• Ability to work nights and weekends if needed
• Physically able to sit and stand for long periods of time & carry/move up to 50lbs.
