Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a design engineer to create and revise CAD models, drawings and BOMs using Creo, Windchill, and related PLM tools. You will support New Product Development and sustaining programs, and collaborate with design leads, manufacturing and quality to deliver robust designs.

Requirements: HS diploma or GED, 2+ years in product design, Creo Parametric, and GD&T experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years of product design experience in an engineering environment.
• Two+ years of Creo Parametric experience with 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation.
• Two+ years of experience working with engineering drafting standards and GD&T principles.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise CAD models, production drawings, BOMs, and associated engineering documentation.
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using Creo and other approved tools.
• Support New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering programs.
• Assist ECNs through documentation updates and drawing revisions.
• Collaborate with Design Leads, Engineers, Manufacturing, and Quality to complete tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and revise CAD models, production drawings, BOMs, and associated engineering documentation.
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using Creo and other approved engineering tools.
• Execute assigned design tasks in support of New Product Development (NPD) and Sustaining Engineering programs.
• Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through documentation updates, checklist completion, and drawing revisions.
• Apply engineering standards, drafting practices, GD&T requirements, and Design Services procedures.
• Create and maintain accurate product structures, assemblies, and BOMs within Windchill and associated PLM systems.
• Participate in design reviews, peer reviews, and release preparation activities.
• Resolve review comments and incorporate design updates in a timely manner.
• Work closely with Design Leads, Lead Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, and Quality personnel to complete assigned work.
• Identify documentation issues, design conflicts, and manufacturability concerns and elevate them appropriately.
• Communicate progress, risks, and blockers affecting assigned tasks.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and adherence to Design Services standard work.
• Travel up to 10%.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of product design experience in an engineering environment.
• 2+ years of Creo Parametric experience with demonstrated proficiency in 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation.
• 2+ years of experience working with engineering drafting standards and GD&T principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related technical field.
• Experience with Windchill or similar PLM systems.
• Experience creating and revising production drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with sheet metal design and documentation.
• Experience with top-down design methodologies.
• Six Sigma Certification
• Experience working with large assemblies and configurable product structures.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability principles.
• Experience supporting Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and release processes.
• Ability to manage assigned design tasks with limited supervision.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
