Moglea was launched in 2012 and is under the creative direction of Chad and Meg Gleason. Their artful stationery and product line is created using hand-applied production processes to add one-of-a-kind elements to each product. The production team in their Des Moines, Iowa-based studio thoughtfully applies layers of paint to extra-thick sheets of paper before cutting them down, yielding completely unique compositions. Each piece is finished on one of their antique presses where it is foil stamped, printed, or die-cut using traditional letterpress printing processes.
The Moglea line is a joyful exploration of composition, pattern and color. For each new release, Chad and Meg intentionally focus on adding unexpected production processes or visual ideas to the current collection. The result is a product line in which each piece feels like a work of art that is meant to be shared.
The Moglea line is sold worldwide, with placement in over 1000 stores. The line has been sold nationwide by retailers such as Anthropologie, West Elm, CB2, Nordstrom and Blick Art Materials.
We speak honestly and from our heart. We believe in caring personally and challenging directly as a means to improve performance when working together. We share our own stories and extend space for others to share theirs. We truly think this is the best and only way we can continue to grow as a team and company.
We embrace mistakes and learn together. We listen, observe, and gather information that brings us closer to understanding our team. We take responsibility for mistakes and create solutions for how to improve.
We respect and listen to all members of our team, whether new to Moglea or senior employees. We respect and value the mission of the Moglea organization and the decisions our founders make toward that vision.
We desire to truly know and understand all members of our team - their points of view, their motivations, and their personal feelings. We desire to match our team’s strengths and skills to roles that can make the most impact. Our understanding of others will help build sustainable and productive relationships that help improve the corporate intimacy within the culture at Moglea.
We recognize that we can, and we will be wrong. New information, time, and new levels of understanding ask us to challenge our previously held opinions and seek to improve ourselves and our work. We will be open to feedback from our peers, those above us, and our direct reports. We will self-reflect on recent decisions and motivations.
We passionately commit to our goals and stick to that commitment with a spirit of open-hearted and earnest striving and lifelong learning. We are growth-minded and ask that all employees continue to grow and adapt as our company grows. We seek to accomplish higher performance levels, improved communication, and stronger relationships with all Moglea employees.
We ask that all Moglea employees are trustworthy, do what is right, and lead by example.
We don’t wait for others to act. We take the initiative to bring about positive results. We ask that employees care about Moglea products, processes, property, and personnel just as much as an owner of the company would. Taking ownership means we are accountable for the results of our actions and that they are executed with the highest quality and in a timely manner.
We acknowledge that as coworkers, we see each other more than family and friends. Work can be challenging but overall should be fun, joyful, and fulfilling to every member of the Moglea team. We seek to ensure that every employee has a net positive experience while working at Moglea.
