Job summary

Employment Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Designated Coordinator to oversee program operations, fulfill DHS duties, and contribute to daily operations, person-centered service delivery, staff support, and strategic planning.

Licensed by Minnesota to provide day and employment services for people with intellectual disabilities and mental illnesses, EEI aims to empower individuals to achieve personal success in the community.

Qualifications

  • The requirements of a Designated Coordinator as required by the Department of Human Services are as follows: a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children; or
  • an associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children; or
  • a diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children; or
  • a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in (1)-(3) above.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill all DHS requirements and responsibilities of a Designated Coordinator.
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of individualized service plans.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Minnesota DHS regulations, company policies, and best practices.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to direct support staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with licensing standards.
  • Collaborate with individuals served, families, guardians, case managers, and community partners.
  • Participate in program development, quality assurance activities, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Support person-centered practices that promote independence, community integration, and individual choice.
  • Assist with staff training, scheduling, and ongoing professional development.
  • Address program concerns and implement solutions that improve service quality and outcomes.

Education

Baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health
Associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health
Diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health
Minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services

Job description

Employment Enterprises, Inc., (EEI) is seeking a Designated Coordinator to oversee program(s), fulfill the duties of a Designated Coordinator as required by DHS, and play a key role in daily operations, person-centered service delivery, staff support, and strategic planning.
