Job summary

Hendrick Technical Solutions in Charlotte, NC seeks a Design & Testing Engineer Intern to support defense and advanced mobility projects. You will aid in concept development, CAD design, prototype-to-product workflows, and field testing of mechanical and electrical platforms.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Catia, or Siemens NX).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Comfortable in office and shop environments; hands-on skills a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in CAD modeling, drafting, and design documentation for components and assemblies.
• Support prototype builds, fit checks, and hands-on assembly of subcomponents.
• Participate in system and component testing, including data collection and analysis.
• Prepare test reports, data, and technical presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve design and integration challenges.
• Follow safety procedures in shop/test environments.
