Job summary

Garver Engineering is seeking a Design Technology Specialist to support digital project delivery across CAD/BIM, GIS, and engineering workflows. You will help organize and govern project data, set up project environments, and provide first-level user support for access requests and workflow issues.

The role focuses on improving data quality, maintaining templates and SOPs, and promoting consistency in digital delivery practices within the IT environment of Garver.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Associate degree or technical certificate preferred; 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Familiar with project setup, folder structures, naming conventions, reference files, CAD/BIM environments, document control, and digital delivery workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create, organize, review, and maintain project workspaces, CAD/BIM files, design documentation, GIS content, and supporting reference files.
• Support project setup, permissions, metadata, standards, secure sharing, review workflows, and data governance across Forma, Egnyte, ArcGIS Online, and related platforms.
• Provide first-level user support for access requests, file management, reference file issues, workflow errors, and project technology questions.
• Improve repeatable processes through templates, documentation, reporting, workflow enhancements, and basic automation where appropriate.
• Create and maintain user guides, standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials that promote consistent digital delivery practices.
