Job summary

TriTechne is seeking a Design Technician II to support telecommunications infrastructure projects by producing precise drawings and maintaining design documentation. You will work with engineers and project teams to translate design requirements into constructible plans.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in CAD drafting or technical design, with proficiency in CAD, GIS software, and Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, GIS, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in CAD drafting or technical design.
• Proficiency with CAD, GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.

Job Description Summary: The Design Technician II supports the development of telecommunications infrastructure by producing accurate technical drawings and maintaining design documentation. This role builds upon foundational design experience and allows for greater independence in design execution while collaborating closely with engineers and project teams.

What You’ll Do

• Create and update detailed CAD and/or GIS drawings for telecommunications infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Bring

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, GIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.


• 1–3 years of experience in CAD drafting or technical design.


• Proficiency with CAD and GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting telecom, utility, or infrastructure projects.


• Familiarity with fiber optic, aerial, or underground network design.


• Exposure to GIS or mapping tools.
