ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a hands-on Field Technician to gather pole and infrastructure data at client sites and translate it into accurate design packages. The role focuses on fielding and design tasks in a dynamic utility environment.

The successful candidate will perform data collection, perform design calculations, and develop construction drawings while traveling as needed. A strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have computer skills.
• Must have valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle; travel as needed (mileage reimbursement).
• Advanced degree in technical field is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform field visits to collect data on utility poles and infrastructure for design packages.
• Design overhead and underground electric distribution systems; prepare drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Provide calculations such as pole loading, voltage drop, and permitting requirements.
• Conduct pole analysis modeling and GIS reviews; update design prints.
• Review client records and GIS data; identify conflicts and incorporate updates.
• Contribute to design projects including data collection, drafting, and standards.
• Manage multiple projects and meet quality, schedule, and client expectations.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulatory requirements (RUS, NESC, permitting).
• Work independently and with teams; maintain clear communication and documentation.

Description

This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys hands-on field work and developing utility design solutions. This is a non-Engineer fielding and design role requiring periodic travel to client sites to gather pole data, inspect infrastructure, and ensure design accuracy.

What You'll Do

• Perform field visits to collect data on utility poles and electrical infrastructure, ensuring accuracy for design packages.


• Design overhead and underground electric distribution systems, preparing construction drawings, bills of materials, and documentation.


• Provide calculations such as pole loading, voltage drop, easement validation, permitting requirements, and cost estimating.


• Conduct pole analysis modeling, develop materials lists, perform GIS reviews, and prepare or update design prints.


• Review client records, GIS data, and field information to identify conflicts, verify accuracy, and incorporate updates.


• Contribute to design projects including data collection, drafting, and utility design standards.


• Manage multiple projects while meeting quality, schedule, and client expectations.


• Apply company safety rules, client standards, and regulatory requirements (RUS, NESC, permitting).


• Work independently and with others, demonstrating strong communication and documentation practices.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Computer skills


• Must have valid Driver\'s License and personal vehicle and willingness to travel as needed for fielding requirements (mileage reimbursement applies)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree in Technical related field


• Design skills including AutoCAD or Microstation


• Experience working in Electric Distribution/Utilities environment
