Job summary

Ramp is hiring a Design Systems Lead to codify the company’s design language and guide cross‑functional teams. You’ll build patterns, tools, and guidance that empower designers, engineers, and AI agents to ship coherent experiences at scale.

You’ll lead a team, shape architecture, and cultivate performance, accessibility, and aesthetics across Ramp’s product. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast‑moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing design or design engineering teams.
• Exceptional visual and interaction design skills with a clear point of view.
• Deep systems thinking and experience building adoptable systems.
• Strong technical fluency to prototype and build in code.
• Active, hands-on use of AI in design and building workflows.
• Ability to turn design principles into reusable patterns and quality checks.
• Strong product judgment and close collaboration with users.
• Ability to create clarity in ambiguity and maintain momentum.
• Curiosity about how AI changes software and how to ignite that in others.

Responsibilities
