Job summary

Splice, based in Seattle, seeks a Design Manager to lead the North America design team across sites, ensuring ADA compliance, client guidelines, and high accuracy. The role reports to the Design Program Director and partners with program managers to maintain SLAs and quality.

You'll mentor designers, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients and vendors while promoting an inclusive, high-performance culture. Competitive compensation and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• B.A. Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architectural Studies, or relevant degree.
• 6+ years’ experience in interior design, architecture, and/or systems furniture design.
• Solid understanding of AutoCAD, Revit/BIM modeling, drawing document standards, building code.
• Direct experience leading project communication and scope development with external partners and/or client.
• Experience developing client drawing deliverables and/or other technical project documents.
• Experience managing workflow to meet project schedules.
• Ability to lead and mentor individuals effectively; provides guidance and direction to achieve quality and service within project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of individual contributors, mentor designers, and escalate issues.
• Present to clients and lead high-quality design discussions with clear communication.
• Prioritize knowledge and skills development for the design team.
• Provide regular feedback for performance and competency development.
• Identify bottlenecks and advise on solutions to keep projects on track.
• Ensure regular, clear communication with clients, vendors, and partners to meet SLAs.
