Dal-Tile is seeking an exceptional Design Sales Consultant to provide interior design advice, product expertise, and customer follow-up to enhance customer experience and influence sales. Utilize the showroom as a selling tool to drive specifications, sales, and brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide interior design advice, facilitate tile and stone selection, and support project development, including Auto-CAD project management where applicable.
  2. Log all client showroom visits, contact info, and customer preferences in CMT. Communicate effectively with customers and team members to track, follow-up, and close sales. Report closures monthly.
  3. Prospect new business, especially with Custom Builders and Residential Designers. Make outside sales calls and follow up on leads. Log all interactions in CMT.
  4. Maintain showroom samples, merchandise, and displays. Manage orders, shipments, and vendor relations to keep offerings current and appealing.
  5. Plan and host showroom tours and industry events to boost sales. Attend trade events to develop industry relationships and promote brand awareness.

Evening and weekend hours are required.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience in related fields.
  • Skills in sales, customer engagement, design, sketching, reading blueprints, Auto-CAD, color coordination, and interior design trends.
  • Ability to approach new situations creatively and communicate solutions effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; customer management tools are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Other Job Details:

  • Physical ability to stand, reach, walk, kneel, and lift up to 80 pounds. Visual acuity for detailed work and safety.
  • Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and temperature variations. Noise levels may be loud.
