Job summary

Coast and Harbor Associates, Inc. is seeking a part-time Design Review Specialist to assist with preconstruction design reviews for commercial and institutional buildings. You will verify design documents, ensure adherence to the owner’s program, and support feasibility assessments within budget and schedule constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience related to design of commercial or institutional buildings.
• Experience with Autodesk Software (Revit, CAD).
• Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, permitting, building construction, building systems, and site requirements

Responsibilities

• Thorough review of design documents on behalf of the owner for accuracy and consistency, and compliance with the owner’s program.
• Checking that the design adheres to local building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards.
• Assessing project feasibility relative to budget constraints, site limitations, and project timeline
