Job summary

LER TechForce seeks a detail-oriented Design Release Engineer to own design validation and release for automotive closures, collaborating across design, quality, and suppliers from concept to production.

You will lead DFMEA sessions, ensure GD&T compliance, prepare evidence packages for PPAP milestones, and review CAD in NX/CATIA while maintaining design intent. Onsite four days a week in Dearborn.

Qualifications

• DFMEA familiarity and ability to take measurements in CAD.
• Proficiency in NX or CATIA with GD&T application.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFMEA sessions with cross-functional teams and drive mitigation actions.
• Review designs for Design Rules Compliance; document and resolve deviations.
• Compile and maintain design verification evidence packages for reviews, PPAP, and milestones.
• Write and track Supplier Corrective Action Forms to address nonconformances.
• Provide CAD support; review models/drawings and communicate design changes to engineers.
• Support cross-functional design reviews and gate milestones to ensure audit-ready documentation.
