Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Design Release Engineer (DRE) with 2–3 years of automotive experience, preferably with Ford’s WERS. You will manage end-to-end design release processes for assigned components, coordinating with design, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to ensure timely development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Design Release Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Ford’s WERS (Ford system) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of automotive product development lifecycle.
• Experience with CAD tools (Creo, CATIA, NX) is a plus.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end design release process for assigned components/systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Create, update, and release engineering documentation using WE.
• Ensure all parts meet engineering standards, cost, quality, and timing requirements.
• Track and resolve engineering issues, changes, and validation.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and production launch.
• Coordinate design changes and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company and customer standards (preferably Ford).
