Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's in civil engineering and EIT working toward a PE.
• Preferred experience in highway/traffic engineering or project management.
• Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement standard design procedures, programs, and processes.
• Perform complex professional engineering calculations and designs for county infrastructure.
• Review construction plan documents, cost estimates and provisions.
• Determine hydrology and design hydraulic and water quality systems.
• Obtain regulatory permits and approvals for project initiation.
• Coordinate right of way needs for project completion.
• Provide technical and professional support to field construction changes.
• Prepare traffic engineering studies and signing/striping plans.
• Review studies prepared by consultants, local governments, and MnDOT.
• Support field traffic control and No Passing Zone surveys.
