Meta in Atlanta is seeking a Design Program Manager in the Risk organization to connect design leads with product teams, remove blockers, and drive initiatives that strengthen team impact and ensure compliant products.

You will improve team communication, support prioritization, and partner with cross-functional teams to define workflows, measure program impact, and scale efforts with clear ownership and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with shifting requirements.
  • Experience working directly with product designers and content designers.
  • Experience independently managing project timelines, setting priorities, and escalating blockers across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions.

  • Source and manage operational budgets, vendor relationships and contracts.

Job description

Summary:

Design Program Managers in the Risk org are connectors and problem solvers. By supporting the design leads in running the functional team, as well as supporting product teams' design priorities, you will enable Meta to design, build, and ship responsible, compliant products. You will improve team communication, collaboration, and remove roadblocks. You'll utilize a full range of organizational and effective communication skills to help keep our teams on track, execute specific design initiatives intended to strengthen the team, industry expertise, and team impact, and you'll work with cross-functional teams to establish great ways of working together.

Required Skills:

Design Program Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and drive large, organization-level product initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders, competing deadlines, multiple dependencies and many moving parts

  2. Prioritize, assess tradeoffs, propose clear solutions and communicate strategically

  3. Own and facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives and establish clear next steps and owners, while resolving blocks that impede progress

  4. Proactively assess execution risks, raise flags and resolve issues - before they become problems for larger teams

  5. Be the operations subject matter expert to the product team, mentor, and share expertise with team members

  6. Communicate persuasively to the right audience to get buy-in and feedback

  7. Proactively problem solve and distribute information effectively

  8. Define and measure impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively, continually refining and iterating to ensure usage and adoption

  9. Scale programs and initiatives when necessary and delegate effectively with clear expectations

  10. Source and manage operational budgets, vendor relationships and contracts for programs like Accessibility

  2. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

  3. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

  4. Experience with accessibility programs or inclusive design practices

  5. Experience integrating AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

  6. Experience leading product or business strategy in a time-sensitive environment

  7. Experience managing vendors and contractors

  8. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

Public Compensation:

$162,000/year to $222,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
