The Design Platforms Enablement Lead supports the adoption, maturity, governance, and ongoing enablement of HDR's primary design platforms such as Bluebeam, Newforma, Trimble, Viktor.ai, and other approved platforms as they are added. This role helps project delivery teams use these platforms consistently and effectively, improving supportability, user confidence, business value, and return on investment.

The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator and clear communicator who brings a high customer-service mindset, positive attitude, and practical execution focus. This person is comfortable working across teams, translating platform capabilities into business-ready guidance, reducing friction for users, and helping the organization realize greater value from its approved design platforms.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative, service-oriented problem solver who can work across platform owners, IT administrators, Digital Design Leads, Quality/QMS stakeholders, business groups, corporate technology teams, and vendors. This position is focused on strengthening the value of approved platforms already in use by improving standards, training, communications, support pathways, adoption practices, and user experience.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clear understanding of supported design platforms, capabilities, ownership, user groups, licensing considerations, access pathways, release planning needs, and support contacts.
  • Coordinate with platform owners, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to support platform readiness, communicate approved changes, and prepare users for updates and enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain practical governance guidance, including usage expectations, access coordination, data handling considerations, standard workflows, decision records, and escalation paths.
  • Develop and execute enablement plans for supported platforms, including targeted training, onboarding resources, user communications, office hours, and community-of-practice engagement.
  • Create practical guidance, playbooks, FAQs, and adoption materials that help users understand what is available, when to use it, how to get support, and how to apply platform capabilities consistently.
  • Partner with Quality/QMS stakeholders to align platform workflows with QA/QC practices, artifact validation, auditability expectations, and project delivery standards.
  • Maintain a customer-focused intake, triage, and escalation model for support needs, adoption barriers, enhancement requests, integration questions, and recurring user pain points.
  • Collaborate with platform owners, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve issues, reduce support friction, clarify ownership, and improve the overall user experience.
  • Define and track meaningful measures of adoption, maturity, platform health, user satisfaction, support trends, training participation, business impact, and return on investment.
  • Prepare concise leadership reporting that highlights adoption progress, maturity improvements, support needs, risks, barriers, decisions required, and opportunities to increase value from supported platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting, enabling, or governing enterprise platforms in a quality-sensitive, project delivery, technology, engineering, or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated capability in change management, adoption planning, training development, stakeholder communications, and user enablement.
  • Working knowledge of governance concepts such as data handling, access coordination, risk assessment, policy alignment, operational guardrails, and escalation models.
  • Practical, can-do approach to problem solving with the ability to help teams adopt and use platforms effectively.
  • Experience with one or more design technology ecosystems, such as Autodesk, Bentley, Bluebeam, Newforma, Trimble, Viktor.ai, or similar technologies.
  • Experience partnering with Quality Management Systems (QMS) or formal QA/QC processes.
  • Experience supporting governance models for citizen development platforms and/or low-code/no-code enablement.
  • Experience developing training materials, onboarding resources, adoption content, user communities, and platform communications.
  • Experience measuring and reporting on platform adoption, maturity, user satisfaction, support trends, business value, and return on investment.
  • Experience collaborating with technology teams, platform owners, vendors, business stakeholders, and project delivery teams to improve adoption and user experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related technical area, or the relevant combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience administering/managing technology service providers
  • Proficiency in Service Provider Administrator II role
  • Excellent client service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and improve service provider processes and systems
  • Ability to communicate with users and information technology professionals
