Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Assistant Design Phase Manager to provide technical project leadership during the design phase for multiple projects. You will oversee schedule, budgeting, permitting, and design reviews, coordinating with owners, designers, and the VDC team to ensure a smooth transition to construction.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant experience.
• Strong teamwork orientation and leadership.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Active travel up to 100%.
• Understanding of construction law and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team to achieve schedule alignment and construction readiness.
• Establish and manage project budget and scope expectations.
• Create and manage project schedules and milestones.
• Lead due diligence for permitting and code compliance.
• Coordinate design reviews with VDC team.
• Support negotiations with owners and partners.
