Job summary

Austin Community College's Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering teams offer a hands-on internship in a full-scale engineering environment at our West Taft Road facility in Liverpool, NY. Interns will gain experience with CAD design, CNC machines, testing, and process improvements while contributing to real projects.

You will work under a Mechanical Engineer on 2D/3D CAD, FEA/CFD analysis, GD&T, data analysis, and productivity tracking.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; 1–2 years completed.
• Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and meet commitments; MS Office knowledge.
• US Person or eligible to obtain export authorization.

Responsibilities

• Modify and create 2D/3D CAD models and drawings for new and existing designs.
• Analyze product designs using FEA/CFD tools to ensure performance.
• Apply GD&T to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.
• Analyze test data and write detailed reports with findings.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to develop standard work instructions.
